Hi Everyone,
Happy Rainy Monday!
If you don't already have plans tonight, please come to the Monday night Contact Improvisation Workshop at Niaspace at 7:30.
Tom and others are in Breitenbush this week for the big Spring Jam. I hear it is even more wonderful than the Fall Jam, which I thought was really fabulous!
Well, since they are gone, I will be guiding the workshop tonight. I'm excited about it! In addition to some review and light guidance in the form of a warmup score, there will be...
.......MUSIC!!
We've been working on basic CI principles with just the music of our breath and sounds we make as we contact the floor or each other. Now we will practice our new skills with music! It's super fun!
Pre-first-timers and other beginners – if you've been holding back because there's no music, this is for you! It won't be an ecstatic dance score, but for some folks music can be a comfortable way in.
Experienced contactors please come and be welcome, too! I won't talk much, and the second half will be very 'jammy'.
Also, if we are lucky, Mateo will come and tell us more about the latest on the carpool to the upcoming Albuquerque Jam.
cu@dance!

If you're dancing physics, you're dancing contact. if you're dancing chemistry, you're doing something else. - Steve Paxton (1987)
