We built the floor ourselves and it is a supremely great dance floor that absorbs all the stresses and jarring shocks that sometimes happen when dancing energetically.    Your knees and feet are safe!   The surface of the floor is true linoleum made out of a cork and hardened linseed oil compound.  It is perfect for dancing... neither too slick or too sticky.
